Two Week Board & Train

The two week board and train is an e-collar/balance training program. Using the Mini Educator E-collar from Ecollar Technologies as a form of communication to make training very clear to dogs. I first teach them the "language" of the collar which means they learn how to turn off the stimulation when they feel it. I use low levels and most dogs learn at a level 6-8 out of 100 while teaching. The numbers go up when distractions/arousal are higher and come back down when the distractions/arousal go back down. Each dog is different with their sensitivity so each dog has a different range that they respond to.

Using the E-Collar I teach 5 obedience commands which are sit, down, heel, come and place. In the first week they learn those skills and practice them at my house, around my family and around my own pets. In the second week I take them to town and practice their skills in public and higher distraction environments. I also offer owners to meet up for a training session or walk if our schedules allow for it.

The balance part of the training comes from structure. I don't allow dogs to free roam in my house and they follow my daily schedule, not the other way around. Meaning when I'm not home, at night or need some down time they are crated. When not crated they are either on Place in my house (laying on a dog cot hanging out), outside on a supervised break playing with kids or my dogs, holding a sit or down or on a walk in Heel. This allows the dogs mindset to go from seeing people as below them and optional to listen to, to people being relevant, the leader and to be listening to at all times.

The two week board & train is $2,000 and includes the cost of the E-Collar. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot in the schedule and purchase supplies. You provide the dogs food and any other needs such as medication that it may have.
